For Father’s Day, Learn to Grill With Mercury Chef Chris Ward

The real grill master.

News is flying out of Preston/Forest this morning faster than Jay Jerrier’s pizzas (they take just three minutes to cook, by the by). Just got word in the inbox that Chris Ward, executive chef of The Mercury, is offering a “Finishing School for Grills” in honor of Father’s Day. There are probably not a few dads out there who esteem themselves as royalty on the grill, but–and I say this with the utmost respect to their grilling acumen–Chris Ward is, with few possible exceptions, better. and take the class. So, dads, swallow your pride (or, wives and kids, shove it down his throat for him). It’s from noon to 2 p.m. this Saturday at The Mercury (Father’s Day is Sunday). Tuition is $150 and includes lunch and summer cocktails.
