Hankins Committs to Wildcats
Parish Episcopal rising senior linebacker Rob Hankins has orally committed to the University of Arizona. Oral commitments are nonbinding.
Hankins (6-1, 219) registered 136 tackles last season, including 12 sacks and an interception. He is ranked as the No. 9 inside linebacker in the nation by ESPNU and Rivals.com. Scout.com ranks him as the No. 24 overall player in Texas.
Hankins also had offers from Miami (Fla.), Texas A&M, Arkansas, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Missouri, Oklahoma State, UCLA, Cal, and Texas Tech.
The Panthers open the regular season at home against ESD on Aug. 27.
