How dare you judge any soul that has been through such a stressful experience, especially that of a teen, and place judgement of how he/she should act or feel…or should’ve sought. It’s appalling! I see others have covered your racism so I won’t go on about that. I’m so in shock of the disgraceful judgement I’ve read. I pray the victim, her family and the students at this school can find the peace they need to heal while the hateful fires burn. What a shame for our city.

Forgot to remind you, the basic verdict requires 5 of 6 jurors, not a unanimous verdict. A unanimous verdict is required for exemplary damages. Neither is unanimity required of a 12 person jury. Only 10 votes are required to sustain a verdict.

I think you are confusing civil rules with criminal rules.

Thank you for taking a board full of ugly postings to a new low. Implying minority adults are not “peers” with respect to ESD is so far from reality as to be laughable were it not so racist. The jury was approved by both defense and plaintiffs. Using race as a basis of jury exclusion has been contrary to the constitution since way before you managed to graduate law school. The next time you have a case in court I suggest you try striking potential jurors because they are minorities and your client is white and see how much mileage you get from the judge and your client. If you give me advance notice of this voir dire I will buy you a new matching lawn jockey. While you’re at it, go ahead and remind your law partners of your conclusions so they can make to same peer argument the next time they are in court.

These people are doing a huge disservice to the ESD community by continually perpetuating the idea to the outside community that everyone is an out of touch elitist at ESD. The distatstefull comments about the victim and her family to this latest rant about the “girl from the projects” are so appalling. They hurt the whole DFW community because contrary to what @Nancy thinks, the world is watching, listening and reading. More importantly, the kids are watching and they neeed more of a tempered example like you and Saddened.
