Hi! Just to weigh in on the conversation...I am the Manager of Social Media at Lafayette College in Easton, Pa. We are located just 70 miles west of New York City, in the lovely Lehigh Valley region, with a total population of over 800,000 -- hardly, 'nowhere PA!' As Austin mentioned above, we would only use students who expressly gave permission to use their photos in Facebook because they are happy to share their enthusiasm. Facebook is a fantastic tool because it allows us to reach college-bound students in a very specific region and/or school who, like Austin, might consider a small liberal arts college in the East. Lafayette is a national leader in graduation rates, undergraduate research, global experience and graduate starting and mid-career salaries. We surpass the norm in many areas because we have remarkable university-size resources devoted entirely to the undergraduate. We have also consistently been rated as one of the most beautiful campuses in the country.

Lafayette College is a fantastic small liberal arts school in Easton, PA- about 1 hour north of Philadelphia and 50 minutes west of Newark, NJ. They play NCAA Division I in the Patriot League. They have many distinguished alumni who remain dedicated to the school, hence their VERY IMPRESSIVE endowment that provides equally impressive financial aid to deserving students. It would be terrific for Texans to broaden their horizons and look at higher education in the northeast!!

Hi! This is me in the ad. Lafayette asked my permission to use my information in their advertisement and I was happy to help. This school is in need of some more Texans and hopefully this will bring some more up! Although I didn't graduate in 2011 (I was class of 2010) I think that putting a real face on the ad could prove to be beneficial and get more people interested in Lafayette so they can have the same incredible experience that I've had.

It looks like it is an ad for Lafayette--they must have gotten permission from the young lady to use her info to get Dallas high schoolers to consider a small college in the middle of nowhere PA.
