Free Investment Advice From a Billionaire

On my commute this a.m., I caught a bit of Preston Hollow resident T. Boone Pickens’ interview on NPR’s Morning Edition. The former oil and gas executive recently dumped all his natural gas stocks, which he had touted as part of the solution to America’s dependance on foreign oil.

Well, Pickens isn’t exactly giving up on natural gas, he’s just pumping the brakes. Pickens told NPR that the time will come when demand (and thus the price) for natural gas goes up, and when that happens, solar energy (his other pet project) will in turn get a boost as a viable alternative. But until this still-to-be-determined-time, Pickens’ natural gas stock wasn’t worth holding on to. And that’s your free investment advice of the day.
