Castle Keeper Tenants May Try To Keep Your Castle

A few months ago, I featured Castle Keepers (among similar companies) in Preston Hollow People for their innovative way of helping sell homes. The companies hire tenants to stage and live in mansions while the house is on the market so it looks its best to potential buyers.

The companies, including Castle Keepers,  have strict rules their tenants must follow, like always keeping the house clean and always being available when a real estate agent wants to show the home.

I thought it was a great idea, but it can lead to some tricky situations, like fighting to take possession of your OWN house. For the full story read the front page of the Morning News, or click here.

Not a fan – not only were they a general nuisance in neighborly part of the hollow – they had 3 day garage sale with flags across the neighborhood and numerous signs on Preston driving traffic to our little traveled street. Calling Realtor representing seller was only a little help – because there are no consequences for the Keepers just the owners and the realtor – be wary!
