What in The Hollow Are You Doing This Weekend?

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost four decades since cult-hit One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest came out. If you’re like us and have seen the film version one too many times but somehow still can’t get enough, head to Jesuit to see students perform the classic live, at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday.

If you have any budding authors or illustrators in your family, you might want to bring them to the Northwest Highway Half Price Books at 1 p.m. on Saturday when Dallas author Kay Cole and 12-year-old illustrator McKenna Vaughn will be signing copies of their book, Lonesome Knob, which tells the story of a red-headed girl from West Texas.

Legendary theologian and social activist Tex Sample will present two lectures entitled “The Craft of Justice” and “A Justice of the Common Good” at 9 a.m. Saturday at Northaven United Methodist Church. The morning will also include small group time and discussions connecting his thoughts to local justice issues and strategies.
