Roger Staubach is a Model Citizen…Literally
Yesterday, the football legend — who is also an honorary co-chair for this year’s Children’s Cancer Fund luncheon and fashion show alongside pal Troy Aikman — smiled for the camera with 22 kiddos being treated for cancer (including adorable Devonshire resident Margaret Strand, at left).
Pictures from the photo shoot and artwork produced by the children will be used to create the luncheon’s for-sale “Inspiration Book,” with proceeds going to support pediatric cancer research and treatment programs at Children’s Medical Center and UT Southwestern.
No word yet on whether the mug of Roger Staubach‘s fellow hall-of-famer will make it into the final print copy, which will be revealed at the event on May 3 — Aikman was tackled by that nasty flu that’s been going around, meaning he missed his close-up at the photo shoot. See for yourself if he makes the cut: tickets for the luncheon ($150 each or $1,250 for a table of 10) can be purchased by calling 972-664-1450, or clicking here.
