Woodrow Golfer Wins State, Sets Record
Grace Choi of Woodrow Wilson High School won the 4A state championship in girls golf this week. Choi set a new state record by finishing with a two-day score of 132. She is also ranked first in her class academically.

Emma Gause contemplates what to read at the Half Price Books on Northwest Highway as Half Price store inventory merchandiser Laura Golden sings “Happy Birthday” over the store’s intercom. The book chain celebrated its 40th birthday on July 27th. Special promotions included 50 percent off one item, free cupcakes, and face painting for the kiddos.
