Last summer, I wrote about Ursuline’s bid to rezone and get a playing field. More than a decade after a failed first attempt — one that made neighbors balk thanks to the proposed seating area’s size, noise potential, and other factors — the school filed its paperwork with City Hall. The new proposal came with plenty of community input and adjustments to reduce crowds, lights, traffic, and such.
Now Ursuline’s application for a specific-use permit and an amendment/expansion to its planned-development district is on today’s City Plan Commission agenda (see page 6 of this PDF), calling for an “illuminated competitive athletic field on a portion of the property in the southwest quadrant of Walnut Hill Lane and Inwood Road.” Meaning, in non-wonky chatter, that the idea is coming along. Could be, anyway.
The commission meets at 11 a.m.
