Front Porch Pot Thieves Nabbed In Dallas
It seems like weird commodities are always stolen from the Park Cities and Preston Hollow — third-row seats, GPS devices, and roofing materials were the norm for awhile. But with a recent bust, I think it’s safe to add potted plants to the list, too.
Dallas police officers issued a search warrant on Tuesday netting 66 potted plants that had been stolen from front porches in North Dallas and the Park Cities. The variously-sized planters ranged in price from $200 to $5,000, and led to the arrest of four men being held responsible for the thefts.
The bust began last Friday when an officer pulled over a ’90s white Chevrolet Tracker near Preston Road and Waggoner Drive. According to the DPD’s North Central Facebook page, the small vehicle managed to fit multiple suspects and several pots, urns and postal packages. That bust led to a police issuing a search warrant for a house(not specified where by DPD) in Dallas.

O/T, but just saw in the Morning News that the victim in yesterday’s plane crash in Kaufman County was a Park Cities resident, Fisher Floyd, “a 30-year-old husband and father.”
