Author Events at Barnes & Noble

Summer is just around the corner and that means reading by the pool is too. Luckily Barnes & Noble is having some fun events in the next month to help you find your poolside paperback or other summer read.

For the historical lit fans, author Jan Jarboe Russell will be reading from and signing her latest book “Train to Crystal City: FDR’s Secret Prisoner Exchange Program and America’s Only Family Internment Camp During World War II” on April 16 at 7 p.m. Russell tells the story of how a small town in southern Texas held hundreds of Japanese immigrants and their American-born children during WW II.

On May 11 at 7 p.m., Rainbow Rowell is coming to sign her latest novel “Fangirl.” Rowell, who has penned other best-sellers like “Eleanor & Park” and “Attachments” will discuss her book and answer any questions readers may have. “Fangirl” follows high school senior Cath on her journey into college and finding herself amidst an obsession with fictitious author Simon Snow.

If you can’t make it on the 11th, Jen Lancaster is coming to B&N on May 12 (7 p.m.) to discuss her latest book “I Regret Nothing: A Memoir.” Lancaster takes the reader on her journey from mid-life crisis to mid-life opportunity (read: juice cleanses, training for a 5k, and embracing Martha Stewart and the glitter fiascos that ensue).

There are many more authors coming to Dallas in the next month- find the full list of events at Barnes & Noble here.
