  • Piper Carter Moon

    Piper Carter Moon

    Dennis Moon and Laura Sumner Moon of Highland Park announce the birth of their daughter, Piper Carter Moon.

    Piper Moon arrived at 4:37 a.m. on June 30, 2011, at NYU–Langone Medical Center in Manhattan, N.Y. She weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and measured 20 inches in length.

    Piper Moon was welcomed into the family by Lucy, her loving dachshund companion, when she arrived home from the hospital.

    Paternal grandparents are Billy and Marguerite Moon, both deceased, of Columbia, S.C. Maternal grandparents are Dulcie Miller, of Bixby, Okla. and Lyndell Sumner of Denton, Texas.

    Piper’s parents attest that she was born in New York City, but she got to Texas as fast as she could!

  • Evelyn Marie Hixson

    Josh and Cristen Hixson of Garland, Texas, announce the birth of their daughter, Evelyn Marie Hixson.

    Evelyn Marie arrived at 3:15 p.m. on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2010, at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. She weighed 8 lbs., 11 oz. and measured 20.5 inches in length. This little sweetheart is the first-born for the Hixsons. She was welcomed into the family by Rusty and Petunia, the family dog and cat, when she arrived home from the hospital.

    Paternal grandparents are Chuck and Susan Hixson of Southlake, Texas. Maternal grandparents are Dave and Vicki Perkowski of Plano, Texas. Great-grandparents include William Lange of Glencoe, Mo.; Carol Lange, of North Richland Hills, Texas; and Marian Hixson and the late Robert Hixson, of Silver Springs, Md.
