  • $3.3 Million PH Pink Palace for Sale

If Barbie and Ken were looking for a life-sized place to live, this would be it.

The Pink Palace on the 8900 block of Douglas Avenue, once owned by Cometic Queen Mary Kay Ash, is now on the market for  $3.3 million.

Built in 1984, the 12,000 sq ft opulent mansion is where Ash held parties for her top salespeople and is where she lived for nearly 10 years, CBS 11 reported.

  • Celebrate Earth Day at Facelogic

Through April 23rd, Highland Park’s Facelogic Spa will be educating their guests about the benefits of recycling in honor of Earth Day.  Hip & Hippie, a candle company founded by Faryn Clark, spa owner, and Deann Jacobs, will be featuring their products which make it easy to support the planet and go green!

The candles are dye free, additive free, made with soy, and have a lead free wick, which is great, but the best thing about these candles is that they can even grow flowers! Hip & Hippie’s candles are packaged with lids and labels made of seed paper which can be easily planted in your home garden.

Also, during this event, any guest who brings in an old plastic/glass makeup container or an old candle to recycle will receive discounts on all green products and services at Facelogic including $69 green facials by Eminence (regularly $109) and 15% off all other green offerings including locally made Hip & Hippie earth friendly candles.

  • Move Over Hannibal Lecter

You never know what gem awaits in the weekly task of compiling the community police blotter. This week did not disappoint. Perhaps it’s just the warm summer nights causing unrest and prank phone calls, but a Preston Hollow resident in the 6600 block of Waggoner Drive received a disturbing call Saturday night on her cell phone. The caller, using a blocked number, stated, “I want to cut your throat and eat your innards!” The exclamation point seems a bit unlikely, but who’s to say the caller wasn’t enthusiastic about the idea.
