Polly Holyoke took Greenhill students on an underwater adventure to celebrate Earth Day a few days early.

Holyoke, author of award winning book The Neptune Project, spoke to grades third through sixth as part of the school’s Authors for Earth Day event on April 20-21. Her young adult novel is an underwater thriller with an environmental message. She also led a writing seminar with the sixth-grade Writers’ Workshop Program.

In honor of Earth Day, Holyoke pledged part of her honorarium to For the Love of the Lake, a charity selected by Greenhill students that works to preserve White Rock Lake.
