PHES Presents Donation to UNICEF

Students at Preston Hollow Elementary School upped their “trick-or-treating” game this past fall.

The kids of PHES raised $1,000 for UNICEF’s Trick-or-Treat campaign by selling popcorn after school and gathering monetary donations. Roughly 75 percent of the total donation came from selling the 50-cent bags of popcorn.

On Jan. 8, the school celebrated their accomplishment by watching a slideshow of their fundraising efforts and listening to a few students’ personal narratives about what the fundraising process meant to them. Local UNICEF representative Hannah Wright was part of the crowd that day at to accept a donation check from the fourth-grade team.
