Another week, another sign that Jordan Spieth might be headed toward golf immortality.

The 22-year-old Preston Hollow resident and former Jesuit standout won the Tour Championship on Sunday in Atlanta, which was his fifth win of the PGA Tour season, bringing his earnings to more than $12 million.

And by the way, that four-stroke victory also made him the youngest winner of the FedEx Cup playoffs, which carries with it a $10 million bonus. So he made more than $22 million for playing golf this year, which essentially more than doubled the record for anyone else in history.

So congratulations again to Spieth, whose humble approach makes him a true role model among star athletes.
