Families may celebrate July 4 at Dallas Heritage Village’s Old Fashioned Fourth, complete with a parade, carnival, and the annual stick pony race.

The village’s Junior Historians will reveal their latest project, covering life for schoolchildren in 1910, and host activities in the Renner School.

Kids in wagons may ride around the village, courtesy of donkeys Nip and Tuck. After, they may decorate their wagons (or themselves) for the parade at noon.

Activities throughout the day include face painting, a checkers tournament, patriotic crafts, building tours, and more. Refreshments will available for sale.

Festivities last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission costs $9 for adults, $7 for ages 65 and older, and $5 for children ages 4 to 12. Those interested may visit the website for more information.
