Ralph Wright, O.S.B. The ceremony was at 7 in the evening and was followed by a reception of dinner and dancing at Arlington Hall at Lee Park.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Julian Gayden Carter of Dallas. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Charles Alfred Morgan and the late Mr. Charles Alfred Morgan and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stephen Carter, all of Dallas.

For her wedding, the bride chose a gown of candlelight silk organza and Schiffley lace designed by Angel Sanchez of New York City for Stanley Korshak. Its v-neckline and empire waist were dramatized by narrow straps, defined by hand-beading with delicate Austrian crystals. The fitted torso was enhanced by buttons up the side. The flutter skirt featured panels of French lace extending to slipper length, which flowed into a graceful chapel-length train. To complete the ensemble, the bride wore a cathedral-length veil with hand-appliquéd French lace, framing her face and shoulders and flowing well beyond the length of the gown. The bride carried lavender roses, blue hyacinths, green succulents, and purple calla lilies tied with a keepsake satin ribbon bearing her new monogram.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attending her as maid of honor was Alicia Louise Carter, the bride’s sister. Bridesmaids included Laura Virginia Chrisco, Sarah Marie Cozad, Elizabeth Conner Golden, Jenna Christine Loeffelholz, Rebecca Elizabeth Madole, Dolly Marlene Lucio, Murray Virginia Matens, Marcella Iris Medina, Lauren Paige Siepiela, and Katherine Anne Wooley. Serving the groom as best man was William Robert Key. His groomsmen were John Gayden Carter, brother of the bride; Charles Theodor Marrs, brother of the groom; James William Marrs, brother of the groom; Joseph Roy Marrs, brother of the groom; Thomas Henry Marrs, brother of the groom; and Travis Michael Moore, James Wilbur Rehm, and Matthew Terrell Stevens. The ushers were Joseph Bidel Alexander, Clint Field Burrus, John Graves Redington, and Benjamin Claude Wallace. Katherine Blakely Marrs, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl, and the ring bearers were Bradley Thomas and James Roy Marrs, nephews of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of the Episcopal School of Dallas and received her BA in Plan II Honors from the University of Texas in Austin. She is a third-year medical student at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She is a member of Pi Beta Phi. The groom is an attorney in the Dallas office of Heselmeyer Zinda.
