W.T. White Grad in Omaha

Former W.T. White standout Bryan Holaday is hoping to help the TCU Horned Frogs win their first College World Series in the school’s first appearance in Omaha.

Holaday, a senior catcher who transferred from North Central Texas College, and the Frogs won their opener against Florida State, 8-1, on Saturday. TCU (52-12) will take on UCLA at 8 tonight at Rosenblatt Stadium, which is hosting its final CWS.

Holaday is hitting .355 with 14 home runs and 49 RBI. He has started all 64 games behind the plate for TCU. He was recently drafted in the sixth round by the Detroit Tigers.
