Take Your Kids to Snider Plaza

Snider Plaza’s annual tree-lighting ceremony is this afternoon, and the folks at the beloved shopping center have kicked it up a notch this year. The event will include a downhill bobsled attraction and fireworks, not to mention pictures with Santa Claus. The fun starts at 1 and lasts until 6. And yes, you can park for free in the law school garage at Hillcrest and Daniel. See you there.

why before Thanksgiving? It would be nice to be able to celebrate one holiday before starting the next.

Because decoration wise, Thanksgiving is BORING. Most of my block have put our lights up and agree that we’ll all throw the switch Thanksgiving night. Several of us had em on Saturday night and were all out just looking at them, seeing if all was in working order – my next door neighbor has the lights fantastic with music – and every car that went by slowed or stopped for a bit. It was festive 🙂
