Miller Seems to be Whipping Spurlock in SBOE Runoff; Unofficial Count Shows She’s Won

Well, Tincy Miller’s certainly in the lead over Gail Spurlock for the State Board of Education District 12  — which includes Preston Hollow, the Park Cities, and Collin County — in tonight’s Republican runoff. As of 7:30 p.m., the Highland Park resident had nearly 67 percent of the vote.

UPDATE: Unofficially, she’s won by the count above 65.94 percent, with all precincts having reported their numbers by about 11:10 p.m., and around 40,000 people turning out to the polls.
