Booker T. Washington Needs New Principal

Tracie Fraley is leaving the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts (my alma mater) after four-and-a-half years. In a Jan. 24 letter obtained by Tawnell Hobbs of The Dallas Morning News, Fraley said she has accepted one of DISD’s relatively new executive director positions. She’ll be supervising principals and schools in the Thomas Jefferson High School feeder pattern.

Fraley’s letter says she’ll miss everyone and always treasure her time at Booker T. It also says this:

The District is committed to ensuring that Booker T continues to grow, thrive and push the boundaries of excellence both academically and artistically. They are also committed to finding an exceptional new principal. The District will involve the Advisory Board, parent leadership, faculty and other stakeholders in the search for a new leader. In the next week, the District will name an interim principal and share the process and timeline for hiring a new principal.

I know there are Booker T. families sprinkled throughout Preston Hollow, Bluffview, Devonshire, etc. Anybody have any thoughts on who the next principal should be?
