$20,000 Goal Remains For Withers’ New Library

Withers Elementary School parents have been spreading the word about their plans to renovate the school’s 50-year-old library. Now the $70,000 fundraising project is in its last chapter — hopefully, anyway.

Thanks to grants and private donations, the library fund has reached $50,000 in around 18 months. Architect Jeffery Miller even took on the project for free, seeing as he’s a Withers graduate himself.

Of course, that pesky $20,000 sum still remains. Parents are trying hard to meet their June fundraising goal, so they’ve passed along donation information, if you’re interested. Checks can be made out to “Withers PTO – Library Fund,” and mailed to the school care of Chris Adcox (Withers Elementary’s address is 3959 Northaven Road, Dallas, TX 75229). You can also reach project leader Elizabeth Garrison directly at [email protected].
