What in The Hollow Are You Doing This Weekend?

At 7 p.m. tonight, Adam Makos will be at the Lincoln Park Barnes & Noble to discuss and sign Voices of the Pacific: Untold Stories from the Marines Heroes of World War II. Also at the event will be R.V. Burgin, one of the veterans featured in the book. If you’ve never had the chance to meet a real American hero, you won’t want to miss this one.

At noon on Saturday, NorthPark Center is hosting “Arts Park,” a special event that will bring more than 50 local arts organizations to the mall. Visitors will be able to get connected to the local art scene by learning about volunteer opportunities and membership information, as well as experience various performances throughout the day. There will also be live music, free tickets, and plenty of giveaways.

Also on Saturday, at 2 p.m. in NorthPark Center’s East Court, Cy Young will be presenting Aesop’s Shop, the musical-comedy version of Aesop’s Fables.

Parents — when was the last time you had a date night? If you can’t remember the answer to that question, or if it’s been more than a month, you’re definitely overdue. Luckily for you, the JCC is providing you with a chance to get away (and get it on) on Saturday, when they host a “Parents Nite Out.” Register here, then drop your kids off at Jump Street Dallas (the awesome indoor trampoline park) at 6:45 p.m., and leave the rest up to the JCC staff. Your kids will thank you, your spouse will thank you. Enough said.

At 7 p.m. on Saturday, teen paranormal author Victoria Scott will be at the Lincoln Park Barnes & Noble to discuss and sign The Collector.
