The North Dallas Artist Studio Tour is celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend. Join fellow art lovers for an inside peek into the lives and works of 31 different artists in 18 studios. Just about every type of art will be represented, with works by painters, sculptors, photographers, jewelers, potters, woodworkers, and glass artists to name a few. The tour begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday and a 1 p.m. on Sunday — here’s the map you’ll need to plan your visit.

Town North YMCA’s Healthy Kid’s Day begins at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Sparky the Firedog and McRuff the Police Dog will greet you at the front, where fire engines, ambulances, and police cars will be running their sirens! Helicopters will be buzzing overhead, and their will be fingerprinting, face painting, inflatables, and more, as well as fun information on nutrition and safety.
Saturday’s weather forecast predicts thunderstorms, but let’s hope the rain holds off until the evening. Preston Hollow Elementary is hosting a family-fun day at 11 a.m., complete with carnival fun, rides, a live auction, a raffle, and prizes.
The Frontiers of Flight Museum’s gala begins at 6 p.m. on Saturday.The event will feature astronauts, former U.S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, Texas Lt. Governor David Dewhurst, U.S. Congressman Sam Johnson, and many more, who will gather to honor Congressman Ralph Hall and the U.S. space program. The good news is, there are still tickets left here.
