Bluffview Couple Builds 20-Ton Treehouse

They say everything’s bigger in Texas, and this treehouse certainly proves the adage. Bluffview couple Jimmy and Sandy Maddox recently built a 20-ton treehouse near Mart (just outside of Waco). I’m not sure how/why the weight was measured, but the figure is definitely impressive.

The treehouse made its debut on Animal Planet’s new “Treehouse Masters” premiere on Friday, but if you missed it, there’s a rerun at 10 p.m. tomorrow.

This time-lapse video shows the building process condensed to about 90 seconds.

So what do you think? Is this treehouse totally awesome, or do its size, amenities, and additional support beams preclude it from being considered a treehouse?
