HollowImageHere’s your weekend roundup; be sure to stay cool and hydrated while you’re out there having fun!

At 2 p.m. tomorrow, Dr. Timothy B. Jones will discuss and sign Education for the Human Brain.

You’ve just got one more week to see Denise Fulton’s vibrant “Painted Forest” exhibit at Norwood Flynn Gallery.

NorthPark Center has plenty of fun, family-friendly events happening this weekend. The list follows.

  • Spanish storytime with Emilia Lozano happens at 11 a.m. on Saturday in Bookmarks. While you’re there, stop by Dillard’s Court to register as a bone-marrow donor and then check out all the amazing semi-annual sales happening in just about every store.
  • Also at 11 a.m., Paper Source is hosting a “Board-Game-To-Go Workshop,” at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Kids will get to make their own travel board game — perfect for that long road trip. The workshop costs $30, but if you sign up with a friend, you can save 10-percent. Call 214-696-4400 to register.
  • Children’s Medical Center is presenting an afternoon of summer fun, stretching from the North Court to Macy’s. It begins at noon and events will include face painting, bandana art, free photos, and more.
  • At 2:45 p.m., head over to NorthPark Center’s North Court, where “Uncle Mike” will teach kids of all ages letters, numbers, and occupations — all set to a bouncy polka beat.
