W.T. White Alum Holaday Cranks First MLB Homer

Former W.T. White standout Bryan Holaday hit his first Major League Baseball career home run for the Detroit Tigers yesterday. Holoday’s shot came in the bottom of the third at Comerica Park and tied the game against Minnesota.

Holaday, a catcher, has played in 10 games this season for the Tigers, who lead the American League Central Division. He’s hitting .280.

Holaday played college baseball for TCU, where he was a three-time All-Mountain West Conference player. He spent most of last season with Triple A Toledo.
