Parish-Shelton Game Moved to Jerry World

It will be anything but a typical football game for Parish Episcopal and Shelton when the teams battle in a TAPPS Division II, District 2 contest on Oct. 18.

Rather than being played at Carrollton Prince of Peace, where the Chargers play most of their home games, the contest will instead be played at AT&T Stadium. I’m going out on a limb and guessing there’ll be plenty of good seats available.

Shelton has a pretty good connection with the Cowboys, which I’m sure helped accommodate the move. The team’s head coach is former Cowboy George Teague.

Parish (2-3, 1-1) plays Tyler T.K. Gorman at home tomorrow night, while Shelton (0-4, 0-2) is at Tyler Grace Community. Both games are at 7:30 p.m.

Stadium officials should open only one section of seating to each set of fans. It would make for great atmospheres in those two sections, and the contrast with the lack of atmosphere in the rest of the Death Star would be amusing/interesting.

Free parking. $6 a ticket. What a great way to see AT&T Stadium and watch #txhsfb. GoParish!
