NORTH RICHLAND HILLS — It will be a mix of old and new for Jesuit as it joins the new District 9-6A next season.

As the biennial UIL realignment was unveiled on Monday for the next two school years, the Rangers will be part of a district that includes Skyline, Sunset, W.T. White, Irving, Irving MacArthur, Irving Nimitz, and Carrollton R.L. Turner.

The three Dallas ISD schools have been paired with Jesuit for the past four years, while the Irving ISD foes last shared a district with the Rangers in 2007. Turner and Jesuit have never matched up as district opponents.

Only two of the seven teams made the playoffs last season. Both Sunset and Turner were winless.

“I like the district that we’re in,” said Jesuit head coach Brandon Hickman. “We can go back now and look at film from the past year. It will be interesting.”

The new district also will apply to other sports including basketball, baseball, golf, and track and field. Of course, the district will include only seven teams for all girls sports.

Also on Monday, Jesuit finalized its football schedule for next season, in which it will have six home games and will play all three Irving schools at home. Of course, the home and road games are switched for 2015 (exact dates to be determined):

Week 0: ARLINGTON BOWIE
Week 1: PLANO EAST
Week 2: at Houston Strake Jesuit
BYE
Week 4: SUNSET
Week 5: at Skyline
Week 6: IRVING
Week 7: IRVING NIMITZ
Week 8: at W.T. White
Week 9: IRVING MACARTHUR
Week 10: at Carrollton R.L. Turner
