Nonprofit Celebrates New Moniker
The Foundation for the Education of Young Women officially changed its name to the Young Women’s Preparatory Network on Sept. 24 with a celebration at the group’s East Dallas headquarters. Board members, educators, donors, and students were in attendance.
Parkie residents Lynn McBee, who acts as CEO of the network, and Gina Betts, board chair, were in attendance, as well as a few other familiar faces such as former WFAA newscaster Gloria Campos.
The network is a nonprofit organization that works with public schools to prepare girls in 6th through 12th grade for college.
