The Lamplighter School recently held its annual “senior” luncheon for the graduating fourth-grade class. Two young alumni shared some of their Lamplighter experiences and advice for the parents and students going forward.

The luncheon began with songs performed by the fourth graders, who were then invited to share some of their funniest experiences at Lamplighter, and apparently most had to do with rampant farm animals around the school. They also gave their predictions for what Lamplighter would look like in 10 years (i.e., teleporting to school).

Two distinguished high school students and Lamplighter alumni, Sloane Castelman and Eli Krakow, took turns addressing the graduates and the journey they will soon take to middle school.

Toward the end of the event, one fourth grader shared a wise sentiment: “In 10 years it doesn’t really matter what Lamplighter looks like, it’s what the kids feel about it that is important.”
