Turner to Speak at Home Tour Luncheon

rsz_dr_r_gerald_turner The Park Cities Historic and Preservation Society’s annual Historic Home Tour and Luncheon will be themed “A Century of Classics.”

SMU president R. Gerald Turner will speak at the April 1 luncheon at the Dallas Country Club. Doors open at 11:15, while the luncheon starts at noon. Marla and Mike Boone will act as honorary chairs, while Kendall Jennings will chair the tour and Lucinda Buford will chair the luncheon.

Tickets start at $125 and can be purchased online starting in March. The luncheon’s proceeds go toward scholarships at HPHS for seniors who plan to study architecture, history, preservation, or another major related to the preservation of heritage.

The tour itself will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 11. Tickets will be available at local Tom Thumbs starting the third week in March, and are $20 in advance or $25 at any of the home locations (which have not yet been announced). Watch for updates here.
