Parkie Shelley Tims Named BvB Director
Highland Parkie Shelley Tims has been named the executive director of BvB Dallas, formerly Blondes vs. Brunettes Dallas, an organization that raises money for Alzheimer’s.
Tims previously worked as director of community advancement for the Arthritis Foundation. She will work on fundraising and events for BvB, such as the annual powderpuff game that has become so well-known among the city’s young professionals.
Speaking of, that game will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8 this year, at its usual Cotton Bowl location. Registration will open on March 23 for vets and April 6 for rookies.
I guess you are trying to be cute, but the term “Highland Parkie” is ridiculous. Using the term in the headline is needlessly confusing.
