Hope Cottage’s John Dickey was recognized by the Dallas Foundation as a 2015 Good Works Under 40 Award recipient at Old Parkland on Nov. 12. At the reception, Dickey was honored along with four other recipients, and received a $10,000 check for Hope Cottage.

Dickey, a second generation Hope Cottage board member, serves as the president of the board of directors for Hope Cottage. At 26 years old, he joined the board in 2009, and in 2014, he began his two year term as president of the board. Dickey’s leadership, along with other members, led to the acquisition of the land where the organization’s new headquarters are under construction.

Dickey is also a founding member of the Hope Cottage Leadership Council, a young professional group dedicated to fundraising and advocating for the organization.

Hope Cottage is a 97-year-old pregnancy and adoption center that strives to build families through education, counseling, and adoption services. The organization aims to help women and children across North Texas to ensure every child has a family.
