Students at Alcuin returned from their winter break with a mission to help those affected by the December tornadoes.

After seeing the destruction the storms left behind, upper school students at Alcuin took initiative by collecting donations during morning drop-off. Between house cleaning products, canned foods, blankets, pillows, and more, students were able to occupy an entire bus with donations.

In another act of good will, the students and teachers then delivered the donated goods to local relief organizations such as Oasis Church and Joseph House.

Along with relief workers, students organized the donated goods in a donation room where victims could collect what they needed.

Alcuin School, founded on Montessori philosophy, aims to push students to achieve their personal and academic goals by becoming involved citizens in their communities and facing everyday challenges with confidence.
