Hillcrest Sweeps North Dallas in Playoffs
Hillcrest swept through its entire District 11-5A schedule without dropping a set. Now, the Lady Panthers are trying to do the same thing in the playoffs.
Hillcrest cruised past North Dallas in the Class 5A Region II bi-district round on Tuesday at Cobb Field House. That sets up an area round matchup with Mansfield Lake Ridge later this week at a time and site to be determined.
The Lady Panthers had a 12-match winning streak snapped with a four-set loss to Carrollton Ranchview in a playoff warm-up match last week, but had little difficulty on Tuesday in their first postseason match in four years, 25-18, 25-15, 25-22.
