SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: BARBECUE BLUES

A Preston Hollow resident can blame more than cold weather for not barbecuing. His grill was stolen around 6 p.m. Jan. 2 from his patio in the 11400 block of Royalshire Drive.

2 Tuesday

Abandoned office equipment was found around 2:20 p.m. in the parking lot of an Embassy Suites in the 3800 block of West Northwest Highway.

4 Thursday

Money was stolen overnight before 5:15 a.m. from La Madeleine in the 11900 block of Preston Road. 

5 Friday

Around 7 a.m., a thief was caught breaking into an unlocked vehicle in the 4200 block of Sexton Lane.

Stolen before 7:15 a.m.: property from an unlocked vehicle in the 6500 block of Longfellow Drive.

Property was stolen overnight before 11 a.m. from a vehicle parked in the 6300 block of Linden Lane.

Cash was stolen from the wallet of a 19-year-old around 6 p.m. while at the Corner Bakery in the Preston Forest Village.

The back window lock was broken and property was stolen from a car parked around 2 a.m. at an Embassy Suites in the 3800 block of West Northwest Highway.

Property was stolen between 2 and 2:30 p.m. from the Sunglass Hut at NorthPark Center

6 Saturday

Sometime between 6 p.m. Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday, the garage of a home in the 6800 block of Woodland Drive was forced open and property inside was stolen. 

Arrested at 4 p.m.at the Hans Mobile gas station in the 12900 block of Preston Road: A 20-year-old man accused of auto theft. 

Arrested: A 26-year-old man accused of shoplifting around 7:30 p.m. from Rayban at NorthPark Center
