SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: ILLEGAL DECORATING

Between 3:20 and 3:40 p.m. Jan. 24, a burglar busted the glass rear sliding door of a home in the 4800 block of Stanford Avenue and rearranged property inside.


DALLAS

22 Monday
Between 5:15 and 5:30 a.m., a rascal used a garage door opener to enter a home in the 9000 block of Rockbrook Drive and take property.

Taken around 10:28 a.m.: an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 10800 block of Netherland Drive.

23 Tuesday
Between 6:35 and 6:38 p.m., a shoplifter took five iPhones from the Apple Store at NorthPark Center.

24 Wednesday
Pried open before 1:48 a.m.: a rear door at Dr. Greg Seal Prosthodontics in the 6000 block of Sherry Lane. Damaged inside: a medicine cabinet.

Taken overnight before 8:30 a.m.: the rear rims and tires off a vehicle at apartments in the 7600 block of Eastern Avenue.

Between 10:52 and 11 a.m., a shoplifter took clothing from The Gap at NorthPark Center.

25 Thursday
Between 12:45 and 1 a.m. at AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car Care in the 3600 block of Inwood Road, one or more burglars smashed the window of one vehicle, forced down the window of another, and removed property from both.

Broken into overnight before 7:20 a.m.: a vehicle at apartments in the 3800 block of West Northwest Highway.

26 Friday
Stolen between 12:05 and 5 a.m.: a vehicle in the 6000 block of LBJ Freeway.

Taken overnight before 8 a.m.: firearms from an unlocked vehicle at a home in the 6300 block of Stichter Avenue.

Between 8:30 and 8:35 a.m., a 42-year-old Dallas man interrupted the burglary of his home in the 12500 block of Planters Glen Drive. The intruder had entered through an unlocked door and was targeting jewelry and precious metals.

Between 2 a.m. Jan. 23 and 10 a.m. Jan. 26, a charlatan stole property by scamming a 65-year-old Dallas man in the 4800 block of Allencrest Lane.

Smashed between noon and 1 p.m. at Inwood Village: the window of a vehicle to gain entry and take property.

Between 1 and 1:02 p.m. at a home in the 6800 block of Willow Lane, a robber used a knife to take property from a Leon’s Custom Landscaping employee.

ShopliftingAt around 1:34 p.m., a shoplifter took clothing from Nordstrom at NorthPark Center.

Arrested: a 17-year-old boy accused of shoplifting clothing from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center between 5:45 and 6:09 p.m.

27 Saturday
Stolen between 3:25 and 3:30 a.m.: property from an unlocked Moreno Tree Service and Landscaping truck and trailer in the 6700 block of Orchid Lane.

Damaged overnight before 7:20 a.m.: property at a home in the 5700 block of Trail Meadow Drive.

An 84-year-old woman complained of getting repeated, unwelcomed phone calls at her home in the 10600 block of Ravenscroft Drive from 12:26 p.m. Jan. 26 to 8 a.m. Jan. 27.

Stolen between 1 and 1:10 p.m.: a lawn mower from a vehicle near a home in the 4200 block of Middleton Road.

28 Sunday
Taken overnight before 4 a.m.: a vehicle parked in the 5800 block of St. Marks Circle.
