SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: UNSHADY SITUATION
A homeowner in the 12000 block of Excelsior Way was probably stumped to find the trees in his backyard had been cut down – especially since it was done without his consent. The 54-year-old man told police around 12:18 p.m. May 31 that someone hired a company to do it.
Arrested at 11:16 a.m.: A 20-year-old woman on suspicion of stealing from Sephora at NorthPark Center.
Smashed before noon: the window of a vehicle parked in the 5900 block of Waggoner Driver.
Clothing and jewelry were stolen from Clothes Circuit at Preston Center around 6:52 p.m.
Stolen before 6 a.m.: a vehicle parked outside of a home in the 6600 block of Mimosa Lane.
A home in the 12100 block of PrestonRidge Road was burglarized around 11:50 p.m.
Merchandise was stolen around 12:50 p.m. from the Tiffany Co. store at Northpark Center. Around the same time, merchandise was stolen from the Burberry store.
Smashed before 5:30 a.m.: the window at Sunstone Yoga at Preston Forest Village during a burglary.
A residence in the 5300 block of Del Roy Drive was burglarized around 6:40 a.m.
Stolen around 8:30 a.m.: a purse belonging to a 29-year-old woman at Preston Forest Village.
We sure hope it wasn’t Netflix’s exciting season 4 release of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt that stirred someone to steal a television sometime before 9:21 a.m. from the clubhouse of Villa Del Norte in the 6800 block of Del Norte Lane.
Merchandise was stolen around 10:20 a.m. from the Burberry at Northpark Center.
Around 10:21 a.m. property was stolen from an apartment building parking lot in the 7700 block of West Greenway Boulevard.
A 30-year-old woman reported the wallet was stolen from her purse while shopping around 3 p.m. at Preston Forest Village.
A diamond necklace disappeared from a room at the Hilton Dallas Park Cities hotel sometime before 12:23 a.m.
A vehicle was stolen sometime before 2:34 a.m. while parked outside a home in the 10600 block of Pagewood Drive.
Stolen before 7:05 a.m.: the tailgate from a 2016 Ford F250 parked overnight in the 4500 block of Glenwick Lane.
A 44-year-old Dallas woman living in the 5000 block of Lilac Lane got tired of the numerous “annoying” phone calls she was receiving and reported the incident to police around 5 p.m.
Around 10 a.m., a locked door was forced open in a home burglary in the 4800 block of West University Boulevard.
A vacant property owned by M & J Homes in the 4500 block of Bluffview Boulevard was burglarized sometime before 10:53 a.m.
Two vehicles in the 6700 block of Norway Road were broken into; one around 12:30 p.m. and the other around 6 p.m.
A vehicle parked overnight in the 8400 block of Ridgelea Street was ransacked and its tire was slashed sometime before 8:28 a.m.
A Waterside Properties representative reported to police at 10:24 a.m. that someone had broken a door panel at one of their new build houses in the 5600 block of West Hanover Avenue and stole property from inside.
Sometimes you get a Rolex and sometimes you get household goods. The latter was what one thief got after breaking into a car around 1:12 p.m. in the 6400 block of Northport Drive.
