In this familiar tale, audiences will be whisked away to a very different time and place. The world of ‘Cinderella’ is full of fairy godmothers, evil stepsisters, and wishes that really do come true.

With a mix of romance and comedy, this world-famous story comes to life through colorful costuming and incredible choreography by Ben Stevenson, set to composer Sergei Prokofiev’s enchanting score.

The full-length ballet has three acts and lasts approximately two hours and 10 minutes, including two 15-minute intermissions.

We had a chance to preview the show at Friday’s dress rehearsal.

Performance highlights include incredible ruby red dance numbers during the Prince’s ball, the jester (performed by Andre Silva), ethereal white horses that perfectly glide the carriage, and the lovely arches of Cinderella (performed by Alexandra Farber).

As well, the comedic timing of the two manly evil step-sisters will leave you laughing throughout the performance.

The final scene, the wedding, had me on the edge of my seat wholly encapsulated in the beauty.

Tickets range from $20-$125 and are available at www.texasballettheater.org or 877-828-9200.
