Q: Tell us about your favorite piece of clothing in your closet:
A: My torn blue jeans. I have had them for years, and they feel like pajamas. I can throw them on with a T-shirt and be casual or can throw them on with a button down and dress them up … definitely my favorite.
Q: What is your favorite Park Cities or Preston Hollow eatery to get dressed up for lunch with girlfriends?
A: Cafe Pacific, it makes every day feel like a special occasion.
Q: What’s been the most valuable learning experience as part of Crystal Charity Ball?
A: That together we really can make a difference. This organization is filled with so many women who selflessly give of their time and energy to help the children in Dallas County whom most need our support. To watch this group of 100 women come together each year to select beneficiaries and raise funds to make a difference genuinely is humbling and inspiring. It is an honor to get to work hand-in-hand with each of these women.
Q: Tell us about your favorite local designer:
A: Lela Rose. Lela balances southern charm with a touch of edge in her designs. And the fact that her family makes such a difference in the mental health realm is a bonus. What an amazing family!
Q: Who is your style inspiration and how do you embody them?
A: Audrey Hepburn…simple and understated.
Q: Other than the beneficiaries of Crystal Charity Ball, what charity/cause pulls at your heartstring, and why?
A: Interfaith Family Services helps families and children on the brink of homelessness. I vividly remember working at Interfaith when I was ten years old. It has held a special place in my heart ever since.
Q: What is your fashion motto?
A: Simple is best.
Q: What cosmetic is always in your purse?
A: Egyptian Magic…it is a heal-all!
