SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO “HMMM”

Sometimes you’re in a hurry. Sometimes you want a keepsake from your crime. Whatever the case, around 12:50 a.m., a “customer” at the Walgreens in the 3700 block of West Northwest Highway attempted to take a cash register from the convenience store.

DALLAS

1 Monday

An employee at the CVS Pharmacy in the 11600 block of Preston Road called police around 4:50 a.m. regarding a suspicious man walking around the store.

Arrested at 4 p.m.: a 18-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Merchandise from an Ulta in the 5500 block of West Lovers Lane was stolen around 4:30 p.m.

A 53-year-old man reported to police around 9 p.m. that while in the 4800 block of West Lovers Lane someone had chest-bumped him, causing pain.

Around 9 p.m., merchandise was stolen from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

2 Tuesday

Around 8:22 a.m., a 34-year-old man was slapped in the face while in the 12900 block of Preston Road.

Stolen before 8:45 a.m.: property from inside a vehicle parked in the 4400 block of Sexton Lane. Another resident in the same block and during the same time period reported that his vehicle had been stolen but abandoned nearby.

3 Wednesday

Sometime before 8:23 a.m., property was removed from a vehicle parked in the 4500 block of Glenwick Lane.

A vehicle parked in the 6900 block of Lupton Drive was burglarized before 9 a.m.

Around 2:15 p.m., merchandise was stolen from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

4 Thursday

Stolen before 8:17 a.m.: a vehicle parked overnight in the 6200 block of West Northwest Highway.

Around 3:30 p.m., radios were removed from a National Trustee vehicle parked in the 7500 block of Inwood Road.

A vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Brookview Drive was stolen before 4:40 p.m.

A Zales employee at NorthPark Center reported around 8:50 p.m. that a ring had been stolen from the store.

5 Friday

Arrested at 12:40 p.m.: a 32-year-old male on suspicion of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Arrested a 7:05 p.m.: a 48-year-old woman on suspicion of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

6 Saturday

Around 12:50 a.m., a person attempted to take a cash register from a Walgreens in the 3700 block of West Northwest Highway.

Stolen before 5:45 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked in the 3600 block of Inwood Road.

A vehicle parked in the 6700 block of Azalea Lane was burglarized sometime before 9:30 a.m.

Around 12:15 p.m., a homeowner in the 6700 block of Azalea Lane reported to police that a person was walking down the street and checking unlocked cars for property.

Arrested at 4:20 p.m.: two 32-year-old women on suspicion of shoplifting from Dilliard’s at NorthPark Center.

A gas meter in the 5100 block of Stonegate Road was damaged sometime before 4:37 p.m.

Sometime before 4:55 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 5600 block of Royal Lane was burglarized.

Arrested at 6:15 p.m.: a 24-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting from Victoria’s Secret at NorthPark Center.

7 Sunday

A 25-year-old woman was punched in the face around 8:24 a.m. at the intersection of Mum Placa and Camellia Drive.

A home in the 5800 block of Grassmere Lane was burglarized around 8:40 a.m.

Arrested at 12:33 a.m.: a 47-year-old man suspected of public intoxication in the 8000 block of Menier Street.
