Crime Reports Oct. 29 – Nov. 4


We know Texans love them some Chick-fil-A, but we don’t know if it’s take-your-fake-money-to-buy-some-chicken good. Apparently, it was worth it to one person to take a walk on the wild side and use counterfeit money for a good meal at the location in the 3800 block of W. Northwest Highway, management reported to police around 2 p.m. Oct. 30.


29 Monday

Arrested at 3:36 p.m.: a 40-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

30 Tuesday

Around 11 a.m., a home in the 7000 block of Inwood Road was burglarized.

A 20-year-old man reported he was assaulted around 3:35 p.m. while in the 11300 block of Preston Road.

31 Wednesday

Before noon, a vehicle parked overnight in the 6200 block of Northwood Road was burglarized.

Just before 7 p.m., a package was stolen from the front porch of a home in the 5000 block of Forest Bend Road.

Arrested at 7:30 p.m.: a 21-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center.

1 Thursday

Two vehicles at separate residences in the 6700 block of Glendora Avenue were burglarized overnight before 8:15 a.m.

Around 10:20 a.m., the window of a vehicle parked at the Town North Family YMCA in the 4300 block of Northaven Road was broken out and property was stolen from inside the vehicle.

Merchandise was reported stolen around 11:30 a.m. from Henri Bendel at NorthPark Center.

Arrested at 5:36 p.m.: a 28-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

A vehicle parked in the 6100 block of Park Lane was stolen sometime before 5:45 p.m.

A vehicle was burglarized around 9:20 p.m. while parked at the Embassy Suites in the 3800 block of W. Northwest Highway.

2 Friday

Around 4:10 a.m., the front door of Dougherty’s Pharmacy in the 5900 block of Royal Lane was damaged in a burglary attempt.

Stolen before 8:40 a.m.: property from an unlocked vehicle parked overnight in the 11700 block of Welch Road.

3 Saturday

Around 1:20 p.m., merchandise was stolen from a Texaco gas station in the 12900 block of Preston Road.

A vehicle parked outside of Good Shepherd Episcopal School in the 11000 block of Midway Road was burglarized sometime before 2 p.m.

Around 3:20 p.m., merchandise was stolen from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center.

Arrested at 3:22 p.m.: a 22-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

4 Sunday

Stolen before 9:11 a.m.: a vehicle parked overnight in the 5500 block of Meaders Lane.

Sometime before 5:15 p.m., both Plano and Dallas residents reported that their vehicles parked outside the Hillcrest Funeral Home in the 7400 block of W. Northwest Highway were burglarized.

A vehicle was stolen around 7:30 p.m. while parked in the 12900 block of Preston Road.
