Crime Reports Nov. 5 – 11

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: GREEDY DEEDS

Criminals aren’t settling nowadays when it comes to what they place their sticky fingers on. One vehicle wasn’t enough for a thief prowling the 5200 block of Meaders Lane. No, the prowler took two from the same property, the homeowner reported to police around 8:15 a.m. Nov. 8.

DALLAS

5 Monday

Around 4:55 p.m., property was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 6100 block of Stitcher Avenue.

Sometime before 5 p.m., a home in the 5300 block of Waneta Drive was burglarized.

6 Tuesday

Stolen before 9:54 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked overnight in the 6000 block of Sherry Lane.

A vehicle was stolen around 1:20 p.m. from the Preston Forest Village parking lot.

7 Wednesday

Stolen before 8:30 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked overnight in the 3900 block of Inwood Road.

Before 12:40 p.m., a tablet was stolen from Republic National Distribution Co. while at the Tom Thumb grocery store in the 7100 block of Inwood Road.

A vehicle parked at the intersection of Ibbs Street and Stefani Drive was stolen around 12:45 p.m.

Just before 1 p.m., a blower was stolen from the bed of an All About Trees truck parked in the 6700 block of Prestonshire Lane.

Arrested around 3:40 p.m.: a 17-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Around 3:50 p.m., the Lowes in the 11900 block of Inwood Road was burglarized.

8 Thursday 

Around 1:37 a.m., a video surveillance camera was damaged in the 4200 block of Irvin Simmons Drive.

Around 5:20 a.m., the glass of the Kindred Spirits and Wine in the 3600 block of Inwood Road was broken and property from inside the store was stolen.

Property was stolen sometime before 6 a.m. from a vehicle parked overnight in the 5100 block of Meaders Lane.

Arrested around 4:30 p.m.: a 35-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Dilliard’s at NorthPark Center.

Around 4:50 p.m., a resident in the 9100 block of Chapel Valley Road reported to police that the side mirrors were stolen from his vehicle the previous day.

Around 5 p.m., a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Thunder Road was burglarized.

Arrested at 5 p.m.: a 35-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Dilliards at NorthPark Center.

Sometime before 8:50 p.m., property was stolen from a home in the 4800 block of Lovers Lane.

9 Friday

Sometime before 7:43 a.m., the front windows of a vehicle were smashed while at a parking lot in the 6000 block of Royal Lane.

Two vehicle overnight in the 4800 block of Thunder Road reported breaking before 9 a.m.

Stolen before 9:30 a.m.: property from a vehicle parked overnight in the 4300 block of Northaven Road.

Property was stolen sometime before 11:53 a.m. from a vehicle parked in the 10700 block of Sandpiper Lane.

Ulta at Preston Forest reported around 1:40 p.m. property was stolen from the store the previous day.

Around 4 p.m., a vehicle was stolen from the 8500 block of Lakemont Drive.

10 Saturday

Around 1:40 a.m. a vehicle parked in the 4800 block of Thunder Road was burglarized.

Sometime before 10:15 a.m., a home was burglarized in the 5600 block of Northaven Road.

Arrested at 4 p.m.: a 47-year-old woman suspected of shoplifting from Dilliard’s at NorthPark Center.

11 Sunday

Sometime before 3 a.m., property was destroyed in the 6500 block of Brookshire Drive.

Around 11 a.m., a burglar broke into a home in the 6400 block of Lakehurst Avenue while the homeowner was asleep and stole property.

A 56-year-old man residing in the 6600 block of Northport Drive reported to police around 4:30 p.m. that he was receiving continual email and texts that were unwanted.

Jewelry and makeup were stolen before 5 p.m. outside of Soul Cycle in the 5900 block of West Northwest Highway.

Sometime before 5 p.m., two vehicles were burglarized outside the Cooper Clinic in the 12200 block of Preston Road.

Arrested at 5 p.m.: a 19-year-old man suspected of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Stolen before 6:30 p.m.: property from a vehicle parked in the 5400 block of Caladium Drive.
