Crime Reports Dec. 10 – 16


Auntie Anne’s is a pretzel treasure to the world, and one crook also saw it as a golden ticket to wealth. According to a police report, around 3:10 p.m. Dec. 13 the NorthPark Center eatery reported a case of embezzlement to Dallas police.



11 Tuesday

Stolen before 10 a.m.: property from a locked 2008 GMC parked overnight in the 6000 block of Averill Way.

A purse was stolen around 9:10 p.m. from a 68-year-old woman at a restaurant in the Lovers Lane Shopping Center.

12 Wednesday

A vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Melissa Lane was burglarized around 1:20 a.m.

Stolen before 7:50 a.m.: property from a locked vehicle parked overnight in the 9000 block of McCraw Drive.

Gloves and cash were stolen sometime before 5:44 p.m. from a vehicle parked in the 5600 block of Boca Raton Drive.

13 Thursday

Stolen before 9 a.m.: property from a locked 2007 Ford parked overnight in the 4200 block of Williamsburg Road.

Police were called around 10 a.m. to Good Shepherd Episcopal School in the 11100 block of Midway Road regarding a found knife.

A lock on a filing cabinet at Edward Jones in Preston Forest Square was vandalized, an associate reported to police at 10:45 a.m.

A purse was stolen from a garage in the 6500 block of Brookshire Road sometime on Dec. 11, the owner reported around noon.

A criminal trespass warning was issued around 12:40 p.m. at Hockaday School.

Around 1:30 p.m. a bomb threat was made to Granite Properties in the 8200 block of Douglas Avenue. Later in the day, around 4:40 p.m., a business office in the 6600 block of LBJ Service Road also reported a bomb threat – this one was via email.

14 Friday

Around 12:30 a.m., Dallas Rare Coins in the 5200 block of Forest Lane was burglarized.

An employee at CVS Pharmacy in the 11600 block of Preston Road reported to police around 9:35 a.m. that on the previous day a customer forged a prescription.

A vehicle parked in the 8600 block of Hillcrest Road was burglarized on Dec. 11, the owner reported around 10 a.m.

A package was stolen before noon from a front porch in the 7100 block of Lupton Drive.

A window of a home in the 6600 block of Deloache Avenue was smashed sometime Dec. 13, a homeowner reported to police around 1:10 p.m. the following day.

The Plaza at Edgemere in the 8500 block of Edgemere Road reported around 4 p.m. Dec. 17 that property was stolen sometime on Dec. 14.

Around 4:15 p.m., an employee from Ulta Beauty at the Preston Forest Shopping Center reported to police that on Dec. 12 merchandise was stolen from the store.

Landscaping materials were stolen sometime before 4:15 p.m. from the 5600 block of Park Lane.

15 Saturday

A vehicle parked in the 4200 block of Alta Vista Lane was burglarized around 8:15 p.m.

16 Sunday

Around 1:10 a.m., a criminal trespass warning was issued at the CVS Pharmacy in the 11600 block of Preston Road.

Arrested at 2:39 a.m.: a 34-year-old woman on suspicion of intoxicated assault following a wreck in the 4900 block of LBJ Freeway.

Around 11:30 a.m., a vehicle was vandalized while parked in the Central Market parking lot in the 4300 block of West Northwest Highway.

Arrested at 12 p.m.: a 26-year-old man on suspicion of shoplifting from Dilliard’s at NorthPark Center.

A vehicle was stolen before 12:51 a.m. from outside of a home in the 5300 block of Nakoma Drive.
