SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: SOMEONE ORDER ROCKY ROAD?

A chilly encounter before 3:02 p.m. Feb. 25 at Braum’s Ice Cream and Dairy Store on Inwood Road led to a 25-year-old man’s phone getting thrown and damaged.

25 Monday

Reported at 11:26 a.m.: the burglary of a Bedford man’s vehicle in an office parking lot in the 12000 block of Preston Road.

Sometime before 4:29 p.m., an irresponsible driver fled after striking a parked vehicle in the 8400 block of Westchester Drive.

Reported at 4:37 p.m.: vandalism at a home in the 4400 block of Goodfellow Drive.

Reported at 5:17 p.m.: the burglary of a vehicle parked at Prestoncrest Church of Christ on Prestoncrest Lane.

26 Tuesday

A resident of the 9000 block of Rockbrook Drive reported at 8:11 a.m. that an acquaintance was refusing to leave.

Reported at 9:36 a.m.: the burglary of a vehicle parked at a home in the 6300 block of Desco Drive.

Reported at 9:58 a.m.: A vehicle parked at a home in the 6200 block of Del Norte Lane was stolen.

Burglarized before 11:29 a.m.: a vehicle at a home in the 8400 block of Ridgelea Street.

Reported at 5:49 p.m.: shoplifting at Whole Earth Provision Co. in Preston Forest Shopping Center.

What did thieves take before 8:15 p.m. from an open garage at a home in the 5500 block of Winston Court? The property owner wasn’t sure yet.

27 Wednesday

Stolen after midnight: mirrors off a vehicle parked at a home in the 6100 block of Bandera Avenue. The theft was reported on March 5.

Reported at 10:41 a.m.: Someone entered an unlocked home in the 6600 block of Northaven Road on Feb. 26 and stole property.

Reported at 7:04 p.m.: the burglary of a vehicle at a home in the 6200 block of Azalea Lane.

28 Thursday

Broken before 7:28 a.m., the glass door at Kindred Spirits and Wine on Inwood Road to gain entry and steal merchandise.

Reported stolen at 3:01 p.m.: A Richardson man’s wallet from a vehicle parked Preston Crest Church of Christ on Prestoncrest Lane.

2 Saturday

An unwelcome visitor at Lovers Lane United Methodist Church on Inwood Road received a criminal trespass warning at 9:06 a.m.

Arrested at 2:04 p.m.: a 38-year-old man accused of shoplifting from the Apple Store at NorthPark Center.

3 Sunday

Sometime after midnight, a vehicle parked in a garage at the 6100 block of Desco Drive was burglarized, according to a report made on March 4.

Stolen sometime before 10:13 a.m.: a vehicle at a home in the 4200 block of Brookview Drive.

Burglarized before 12:38 p.m.: a 31-year-old Holt, Missouri woman’s rental vehicle while parked at the Embassy Suites Dallas Love Field Airport Hotel on Northwest Highway.

Arrested at 3:20 p.m.: a 29-year-old woman accused of shoplifting from Nordstrom at NorthPark Center.

Arrested at 3:25 p.m.: a 49-year-old woman accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. She also was found with a clear glass crack pipe, police said.
