SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: BARCODE LOVER?

Reported at 12:23 p.m. April 6:  In this week’s edition of Why-Did-They-Take-It? a crook made away with a handheld scanner that an employee had left on a shelf at the Walgreens on Northwest Highway.

DALLAS

1 Monday

Arrested at 2:41 a.m.: a 21-year-old man accused of driving under the influence i the 11600 block of Inwood Road and possession of marijuana.

Reported at 2:05 p.m.: Property was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Dallas International School on Churchill Way.

Arrested at 4:58 p.m.: an 18-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Dillard’s at NorthPark Center. 

2 Tuesday

Reported at 11:02 a.m.: A car door was pried open and entered illegally at Hillcrest Memorial Cemetery on Northwest Highway.

Reported at 2:26 p.m.: Property was stolen from Ulta at Preston Forest Village.

Arrested at at 4:07 p.m.: a 53-year-old woman accused of shoplifting from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center. 

Reported at 4:14 p.m.: Property was stolen from Ulta at Inwood Village.

Reported at 4:55 p.m.: A wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked at the Congregation Beth El Binah on Preston Road.

3 Wednesday

Reported at 8:54 a.m.: A burglar broke a window and stole a purse on April 2 from a vehicle parked at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd on Midway Road.

The 34-year-old driver of a stolen vehicle worth $82,155 was arrested at 11 a.m. at the 5900 block of Elderwood Drive. The man also had two outstanding warrants for the city of Dallas, including one for the burglary of a building.

Reported at 2:17 p.m.: Property was stolen from inside a vehicle parked at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 6:23 p.m.: Property was stolen from Sephora at Preston Royal Shopping

Center.

Arrested at 6:51 p.m.: a 17-year-old boy accused of shoplifting  from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. 

4 Thursday

Reported at 3:01 p.m.: Property was stolen on April 3 from an unlocked vehicle at the 9600 block of Jourdan Way.

5 Friday

A vehicle was towed from Preston Royal Shopping Center at 3:44 a.m. and an 18-year-old man was arrested on a Dallas County warrant.

Reported at 3:44 a.m.: Shake Shack at Preston Royal Shopping Center was burglarized.

Reported at 1:17 p.m.: Theft of possessions on April 3 from unlocked vehicles at a home in the 5800 block of Park Lane.

Reported at 1:34 p.m.: A vehicle backed into a parked vehicle at Preston Center and fled without leaving any information.

Reported at 4:35 p.m.: the April 3 burglary of a vehicle parked at the Good Shepherd Episcopal School on Midway Road.

Reported at 6:10 p.m.: the theft of property from inside a vehicle parked at NorthPark Center. 

Arrested at 6:24 p.m.:: two females, ages 23 and 26. They were accused of shoplifting from Sephora at NorthPark Center  and also received criminal trespass warnings.

6 Saturday

Reported at 4:12 p.m.: The driver of a vehicle involved in an wreck near La Madeleine at the Market at Preston Forest fled the scene without leaving any information.

7 Sunday

Sometime after midnight, a wallet was stolen from the purse of a woman at La Madeleine at the Market at Preston Forest.

Reported at 8:24 a.m.: A burglar broke a window on April 6 and took property from a vehicle parked in the 3800 block of Northwest Highway.

Reported at 11:21 a.m.: Cash was stolen from Ku Sushi and Japanese Cuisine on Preston Road on April 6.

Reported at 11:31 a.m.: A vehicle left the scene of an April 6 wreck in the 5600 block of Purdue Avenue without leaving any information.

Reported at 5:33 p.m.: One or more burglars kicked open the garage door and cut the lock of a trailer at a home in the 6300 block of Royal Lane on April 4.

Reported at 10:09 p.m.: A motor vehicle was stolen at NorthPark Center.
