SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: HOT WHEELS

Someone needs a lot of wheels: It was reported on May 28 that eight wheels were removed May 27 off of two different vehicles at 7:17 a.m. in an apartment complex in the 8600 block of Turtle Creek Boulevard.

 

DALLAS

27 Monday

Stolen sometime after midnight: Property from an apartment in the 8500 block of Thackery Street.

Reported at 3:24 p.m.: A package was stolen from a home in the 5300 block of Preston Haven Drive.

Reported at 4:17 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen at NorthPark Center.

A theft suspect was issued a criminal trespass warning at 6:41 p.m. at NorthPark Center. 

28 Tuesday

Reported at 8:38 a.m.: Property was stolen on May 27 from inside a vehicle parked at apartments in the 3800 block of Northwest Highway.

Reported at 4:18 p.m.: Property was stolen from an apartment at the 8600 block of Thackery Street on May 27.

Reported at 6:17 p.m.: A vehicle was burglarized on May 27 at apartments in the 3800 block of Northwest Highway. 

Reported at 8:02 p.m.: Items were stolen out of a vehicle parked at NorthPark Center. 

29 Wednesday

Reported at 8:52 a.m.: Property was stolen from Perry and Leverage Attorneys at Law on Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway. Burglars also broke into Gap Capitol in the same office building.

30 Thursday

Reported at 8:57 a.m.: A man was grabbed and offended on May 29 at the 12900 block of Preston Road.

Reported at 10:08 a.m.: Property was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 8400 block of Chadbourne Road on May 29.

Here’s a reason not to pet stray dogs: A 22-year-old Dallas woman walking along the 4300 block of Caruth Boulevard got bit at 3:50 p.m. when she tried to pet one.

A criminal trespassing warning was issued at 5:10 p.m. at NorthPark Center. 

Reported at 6:09 p.m.: A stolen vehicle from the 4900 block of Crooked Lane.

Recovered at 7:53 p.m. at the 5100 block of Forest Lane: A vehicle that had been reported stolen by the Lewisville Police Department. A 34-year-old woman was arrested.

31 Friday

Sometime after midnight: Live copper wire was cut at an Adolfson and Peterson Construction work site in the 6800 block of Lyndon B. Johnson.

Arrested at 3:19 p.m.: a 50-year-old man accused of returning to a location at NorthPark Center that was he instructed not to return to.

Reported at 6:43 p.m.: A vehicle parked at Enterprise Rent-A-Car near NorthPark Center had the windows knocked out and property removed from inside on May 30.

1 Saturday

A motor vehicle accident at 4:37 a.m. in the 5800 block of Northwest Highway resulted in the death of a driver. The vehicle, a Jeep, went over the railing and landed roof-first on the Dallas North Tollway. The driver, a female, was pronounced dead on the scene. The identity of the driver has yet to be released.

A criminal trespassing warning was violated at Street’s Fine Chicken on Forest Lane at 8:21 a.m.

2 Sunday

Stolen sometime after midnight: A vehicle from the 4300 block of Hallmark Drive.

Reported at 12:41 p.m.: Property was stolen from units in a storage facility located at the intersection Inwood Road and Lemmon Avenue on May 31. The thieves cut through the metal wall of the facility to access property locked inside.

Stolen at 6:06 p.m.: Merchandise from Everything But Water at Preston Center.
